Its been a long time since I've written something here. I recently came across many news, blogs and writings against Christ University's 'UNWANTED' rules and strictness. So I thought let me share my experience in Christ University.
I joined Christ University in the year of 2009, just after completion of my 12th grade. I entered the college with empty mind, not knowing where to start and what to do in life. From the day 1 I was learning how to survive in this competitive world.
Christ University Management make sure that they do everything possible to fulfill the primary duty to Educate. There are plenty of opportunities in the campus to improve your knowledge. One of the best libraries in the country, Internet Labs, WiFi-Enabled Class Rooms, Lab facilities, Qualified and Experienced Professors and many more.
Christ has the best infrastructure among the colleges of India. The class rooms and surroundings are always clean and tidy.
The life in Christ University, which can be compared well with the life of children studied in Tomoe Gakuen School as described in the book 'Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window' written by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. Similar to Tomoe students, Christ University tries to bring up professionals with a culture not just the academic knowledge. There is all sorts of opportunities that helps a student to grow in all aspects. Only difference is that Tomoe children had to take part in all the activities but it's not compulsory in Christ.
I've completed my graduation and post graduation from Christ. and stepped out of Christ with heads held high. and i never had to look back.
I was there in Christ for 6 years, that is 11 semesters of regular classes and one semester internship. My attendance in the first semester was around 97.5%, and that was the semester with least attendance. All other 10 semesters I maintained almost 100% attendance. I was so attached to the University that I'd spent much more time in my college than the class hours, taking part in different activities and working with various organizations. These activities helped me in meeting people and understanding how to handle the situations. I'm sure that all those who was part of CSA, SWO, Cul-Team, NCC etc have learned something from it.
I never had to go to any crash courses or go through consultancies to get a job. The training what I received from Christ was more than enough to do what I wanted to do in my life. During my studies I'd used all facilities in Christ that could help me design my future.
Christ University is for those who dream, it's a place for those who want to do something in life, those who want to take risks and achieve something in life. You are at wrong place if you just want to attend(sleep) the classes, get a degree and move on. People who are complaining about Christ culture have not seen the real Christ. Its much more than what you think.
To those who are not happy at Christ, Open your eyes, heart and mind and see what all opportunities are there in Christ university, take a walk from the main gate to the fourth block, decide what you want to do in your life. Start working on your goals than complaining about silly things. Those 'Unwanted, Strict rules' will help you to groom your personality. There is a highly competitive world waiting for you out there. Prepare yourself when the opportunities are given to you.
